Albie Puttin’ 2010 Miniature Golf Pub Crawl! Win a Trip To Vegas!

First Annual Albie Puttin’ Pub Crawl on Saturday, August 28th, 2010. The Pub Crawl will start at deVere’s Irish Pub at 11 am. Participating bars include; deVere’s Irish Pub, Capital Garage, Badlands, Mulvaneys B&L, Torch Club, Streets of London Pub, Bistro 33, L Wine Lounge, and Zocalo. Other supporters include, the Sacramento Metro Chamber.
The event will include an organized bar golf course with a shotgun start at noon. Custom golf holes will be constructed with a bar/Go Girl theme at each stop. Those who finish the course will be eligible for prizes, with the grand prize being a three-day, two-night trip to Las Vegas. Prizes will also be given to those with the best-worst golf attire, most creative costume and best golf score.

Albie Carson Breast Cancer Foundation was created in memory of Albie Carson who succumbed to breast cancer on July 4, 2002. Albie was a 50-year resident of Sacramento where she attended school, raised a family, and made a career in the real estate community. She developed strong ties to the area and was well known and loved by her peers and clients alike. Her legacy continues to be one of selfless giving. In honor of Albie, it is their goal to raise money to help others in the community who face their own battles with this disease. “Albie Aware” sounds like “I’ll be aware” and that’s their purpose: To make people aware of cancer prevention methods through nutrition and exercise, to encourage self-examination and a follow-up doctor’s appointment for early detection, to be aware of the diagnostic testing available to determine the best treatment for breast cancer and the early detection of a recurrence, and to provide financial assistance when these tests are not covered by the insurance provider.
